What are restraining orders?

In divorce cases, the court can issue restraining orders as to use of property, bank accounts, changing insurance policies and other “property” matters.  The court can issue restraining orders as to the parties, which are logged into the law enforcement computer network just like protection orders.

In cases in which the parents are not married, the court can issue restraining orders which range from complete no contact with the other party or children to supervised residential time.
